With remixes by some of the hottest house producers out there in Dasco, Soulshaker and So Cool Network, this one is sure to set your Spring and Summer dancefloors alright with it’s feel good vibes. JBaby was born in Nigeria, one of seven children. The children collected firewood from the bush to sell to help make enough money to eat. JBaby first moved to Lagos, where she worked as a cleaner in a restaurant, earning only about 10 euros per month, but the wages were too low to send back to care for her family. She met a lady in the restaurant who arranged for her to travel to Spain for 45,000 euros which she would have to pay when she started working in Spain. For the first two years she paid over 10,000 Euros and over time she was able to start to send a little money home to her family. With no legal status to find other work, JBaby like so many other women from Africa who had travelled the same path was stuck working as a prostitute on the streets.  A chance encounter with a musician on Las Rambla inspired JBaby to start writing songs and singing. While Still working nights on Las Rambla, she was able to make it to a recording studio to record her first song “Let’s go!”. While “Let’s Go” climbs the charts JBaby continues to write more songs, hoping she can break free from the streets and gain legal residency in Spain.
